The Preservation Cooperative Ltd. is a small business utilizing a comprehensive and scholarly approach to the conservation and preservation of historic structures. Our company philosophy is to follow a path of minimum intervention. Whenever possible, exsisted historic fabric is conserved. Contemporary building materials and technology are introduced during the restoration/conservation process only as appropriate. Whether working with private homeowners, not-for-profits or governmental agencies, we mantain the strictest standards of current preservation techniques as well as time-honored craftsmanship.

 

The Preservation Cooperative Ltd. is a fully insured and licensed general contracting firm employing skilled craftsmen and women. We have extensive knowledge of building styles and are proficient in all aspects of  the building trades, including new construction.

 

In addition to the hands-on preservation of  historic structures, The Preservation Cooperative Ltd. allows you to participates in a program called "Rent a Preservationist" where homeowners, non-profits and organizations  can work side by side on their projects.
